Adidas Predator LZ: BLACKOUT

When I think of originality I think of adidas soccer boots. A perfect example of this class and originality is adidas latest release of the black on black Predator LZ. Still waiting for them to produce an OG red/black color spray just like the original Predator but I guess that's not coming anytime soon or at all. As a boot nerd there is something special about a pair of murdered out boots and unfortunately I think adidas releases some boots trying to target that younger generation but in reality sometimes the pastel colors make the boots look cheap and they should just stay classy.

At the moment, in terms of fit and the lock-down affect the LZ is one of my favorite boots at the moment. A hybrid of some sorts the boot has/offers a unique edge on the field because of the weight ratio (7.9) and the upper which is just simply supremo at the moment. I know many consumers might like the CTR but with the LZ upper aka the hybrid touch you get a consistent fit from the boot day in and day out. That new boot fit s so hard to come by and as far as i have sen the LZ is the only boot to offer that at the moment. The Vapor and CTR360 have all been known to stretch and loose the that new boo fit.

adiZero F50 Teaser:

Alves recently teased footy fans via instagram with a photo of his personalized F50 boots. This color way will drop 12/1/2012. As a boot nerd and adidas fan I think this is a stronger color than the launch color way because the black is simple and the green offers a very classy/heritage look that many fans like about adidas.

Tiempo IV Teaser via Alex

Crispy Clean adiZero.

Would like to thank Mitchell for sending a picture of his new adizero's Footy G's way. By far this is one if the best color ways and it is even leather which is even more exciting. Crispy clean boot and after seeing these I might have to try to get my hands a pair.

Footy nerd like me...

If you are a footy nerd like me whenever a big match is on TV there is bound to be a big boot highlight. I love the game of soccer but my true passion has to do with soccer boots. Which is why i started this blog called Footy Guru.

Furthermore, yesterday as I was watching the game I noticed Messi's feet were no longer flashing gold/white but blue/red. Well turns out Messi was sporting a new color way in the adizero. Messi/adidas gave us a teaser of the next color way that will drop 2/1/2012. Color way has a theme kind of like that of super man; red white and blue baby... I personally like the paint job on this boot and can not wait till it drops.

PINK IS THE NEW BLACK.

Would like to thank Wahi from the land down under for sending a picture of his customized boots in. Every boot is customized to his specifications and instead of making the boots all black he added some retro pink to give them some added style and swag. I must say that I have never seen a customized collection like this! I will even admit that the picture is currently my wallpaper on my iPhone. Wahi's customized collection includes Mizuno Wave Ignitus II, NikeID Tiempo Legend IV and miAdidas micoach Adizeros.

"FYI, all are personalized (mizuno has 'whyo' which is my twitter handle, Legends have 'Melor_KLS' which are the names of my mom and girlfriend, and Adizeros have 'why.MWN' which is my nickname plus initials of my family. Just love the pink and black colourway, so had to get 3 of em."

Puma King SL Teaser

One of the greatest boots ever made was the Puma King. The OG King was one of the first classic boots back in the day. However, since then the game has changed on the field and in the boot game.

So Puma has decided to make a concept version of the classic King and call it the SL. The thing I like about this SL version is that Puma left the leather upper and the OG style on the boot but simply updated the outsole and shaved down the upper to decrease the overall weight of the boot drastically. There is just something special about a classic boot that has been modified into a concept speed boot that I just simply love.

I am expecting the boot to be around 9 oz with a single layer of leather upper so you get supreme ball feel and comfort. Price will be around $250 and should be released no later then 4/1/2012.
