MESSI & ADIDAS CREATE ‘THE NEW SPEED OF LIGHT’

Adidas revealed the latest version of the adizero f50 Messi. Messi’s exclusive f50 boots receive their latest color update with a bold turbo/blast/purple/white colourway. To celebrate the launch the adidas displayed the genius of Leo Messi like you’ve never seen it before through light. 

 

To explore the actions that make him the best in the world, Leo has been fitted up with an innovative LED light suit to help capture his movements, touch and speed in a whole new light.

This film entitled ‘The New Speed of Light’ is a truly unique study of football motion. Created using a bespoke LED suit and a pair of ‘hacked’ adizero f50 Messi boots it showcases the direction and body movement of the world’s best player. It was shot at 1000 frames per second to create a specially developed visual display that defines the new speed of light.

The f50 tech specs:

• Sprintskin – a 1.5mm thick layer made from DUALMAX synthetic with exclusive leather grain optic that allows the boot to be lightweight whilst maintaining a natural feeling between boot and ball
• Sprintweb – the 3D printed texture on the surface of the boot that allows for exceptional ball control at speed and also provides the supple but stable construction
• Sprintframe – a strong but lightweight lower section that offers players a perfectly balanced boot

Footy nerd like me...

If you are a footy nerd like me whenever a big match is on TV there is bound to be a big boot highlight. I love the game of soccer but my true passion has to do with soccer boots. Which is why i started this blog called Footy Guru.

Furthermore, yesterday as I was watching the game I noticed Messi's feet were no longer flashing gold/white but blue/red. Well turns out Messi was sporting a new color way in the adizero. Messi/adidas gave us a teaser of the next color way that will drop 2/1/2012. Color way has a theme kind of like that of super man; red white and blue baby... I personally like the paint job on this boot and can not wait till it drops.

This past weekend during the international break for many clubs/countries adidas released the miCoach to all of the athletes and after watching the games all i can remember is seeing these bright boots everywhere.

These boots drop 12/5 but with adidas creating an on field buzz on the television be sure that these boots will be very popular due to the color schemes and the edition of miCoach makes these boots hard to resist.

adidas recenly released this new image and video of Messi via Facebook. It seems as if adidas is branding Messi similar to the way Nike brands CR7. In addition, after looking at the image it makes me wonder if adidas will make an exclusive color way for Messi in boots along with a limited clothing line.
