Adidas Drop miadidas Premium F50 adizero Edition

Custom F50 adiZero
For those F50 FANS/boot nerds that want a premium pair of customized boots it seems as if adidas has delivered. Recently, adidas dropped the F50 Premium Pack in which you can only customize and get through miAdidas. However, it’s not the same old F50 setup; according to adidas “The F50 Premium is available with a specially designed lightweight upper, featuring enhanced stability in the heel and distinctive chrome SPRINTFRAME. Combined into a premium package, with a suede shoe bag and personalized key chain, the F50 Premium turns understated style into a bold statement.”

I have always said that the outsole should be a point of difference on a boot and with the Chrome outsole on the Premium F50 it definitely is a banger. Looks very classy and unique in my opinion…

The boots will retail for $290 and remember it is a custom boot/package.  You can check them out on miadidas now. For those interested in the current F50 model peep the review below.

MiAdidas taking over Europe...

This weekend around the world will be like Christmas for boot nerds thanks to Adidas.

In total, seven of a select number of Adidas players were selected to create and debut customized boots via miAdidas. Players include; Young, Benzema, Oscar, Muller, Podolski, Llorente, and Montolivo.

There is a lot of buzz about customized boots and being different on the pitch. I personally have always made a point to never wear the same boots as others on the pitch because I like to be different. There is no doubt about it that Adidas is trying to push miAdidas. With this example, adidas are trying to show Footy fans that the possibilities are endless when it comes to designing a boot that suits your personality as an individual on the pitch.

Through the Footy Guru instagram I have seen a dramatic increase in personalized boots which is awesome. It's hard in the current market to be different because when a boot is launched everyone and their grandma scoops it up. Unfortunately, once the market is flooded and the boot is out it quickly becomes less in demand because of how many boot nerds get it. Only so many boots can be limited but I would love to see Adidas make a limited boot which pays tribute to a player or recreate a boot from the past and make a hybrid and infuse it with current technology. He'll they could call it an anniversary project and pay tribute to the the brand and that particular boot. Obviously if you are going to retro a boot you would pick one of the 12 Predator boots.

However, I feel adidas is too traditional to make a limited boot or even retro a boot because lets be honest there is no money in limited boots but then again what about your fans who want to feel special. Perfect example, is the Nike GS and the buzz it created... Imagine footy fans if adidas would create a hybrid boot with current technology that looked and payed tribute to the Predator Accelerator my favorite boot of all time.

Overall, I can see that in the next couple of years customization and limited boots will be a big motif in the boot world. There is a big buzz surrounding miAdidas and with this little marketing push it will be sure to grab boot nerds attention around the world. Check out the videos with some of the players talking about their custom boots/designs.

miadidas Leo Messi f50 design competition

This is an awesome idea from adidas that ties in an athlete and boot customization. Messi will choose a boot/color way submitted by various footy fans and will debut them in December. To enter the competition, head over to miadidas and submit your design!

Here is the boot I submitted to the competition. The options are limited when it comes to the base color but I went with gold for the base because it is classy and gold boots are few and far between. In addition, to add pop to the boots I went with infrared TPU over lays to give the boots a unique two tone contrast. Last but not least, I went with a black out sole because it is very unique and it will not show dirt. Best part of the boot is the penalization. Check out the Footy Guru!

PINK IS THE NEW BLACK.

Would like to thank Wahi from the land down under for sending a picture of his customized boots in. Every boot is customized to his specifications and instead of making the boots all black he added some retro pink to give them some added style and swag. I must say that I have never seen a customized collection like this! I will even admit that the picture is currently my wallpaper on my iPhone. Wahi's customized collection includes Mizuno Wave Ignitus II, NikeID Tiempo Legend IV and miAdidas micoach Adizeros.

"FYI, all are personalized (mizuno has 'whyo' which is my twitter handle, Legends have 'Melor_KLS' which are the names of my mom and girlfriend, and Adizeros have 'why.MWN' which is my nickname plus initials of my family. Just love the pink and black colourway, so had to get 3 of em."

PINK BOOTS SUPPORT FIGHT AGAINST BREAST CANCER...

Like we've seen in the NFL, adidas' MLS athletes are joining the fight against Breast Cancer by wearing pink cleats and accessories in games played throughout October...

Seen here are adidas adiPower Predator cleats being worn by FC Dallas goalkeeper Kevin Hartman. Certain MLS athletes customized their own pink cleats on adidas' miadidas customization program and debuted them this past Saturday. They'll wear them in every match throughout October.
