Hypervenom update: Two Months After

It just seems like yesterday when the F50 adizero was king of the boot world. As always boots/models come and go and the constant evolution is part of the boot market game.  At this day in age aka back in the day the Vapor was unchanged so the F50 was the great new boot at the time. However, times have changed and in today's boot world there is a new king. The current boot that has taken the market by storm is the Nike Hypervenom. With an athletic fit and a whole new upper aka NikeSkin the boot has quickly caught boot nerds attention. With the off center lacing that mirrors the foots natural shape combined with NikeSkin the boot provides  a barefoot fit and feel that is unlike any other boot on the market. It seems like consumers with medium to wide feet have found the boot to fit like a dream. The Hypervenom comes at the perfect time because at the moment fit and feel is trending. It used to be all about the weight but now it seems like consumers are all about fit and will sacrifice the weight for that improved fit/upper. Unfortunately, Nike have marketed the boot as the ultimate attacking boot but in my opinion the boots fit and feel could be used by any position on the pitch.
So the Hypervenom will probably be boot of the year because with the point of difference the boot offers I do not see it losing steam any time soon unless the boot has problems.
Which brings me to my Hypervenom update....

So I have stated that fit and feel is trending. Consumers have become smarter and in part the materials have greatly improved. Especially the in hand experience....  For example, the NikeSkin is an amazing technology so much that the first time I put the venoms on I was hooked and in love. But in a little over two months it has stretched on my Hypervenom boots and that love affair has come to an end. It was a great idea with the upper but in my opinion it was poor execution. For a supposed agility boot there is a lack of support. When purchasing a boot I want a product that consistently keeps that new boot fit and feel and the only product I have experienced that with is the Predator LZ that features the hybrid touch. The fit is consistent and it feels like a new boot day in and day out. Could be the best synthetic on the market but that is a completely different subject.
After Two months.
Unfortunately, with the Hypervenom the upper has stretched uncontrollably And become unsupportive and I have been experiencing sliding in the forefoot of the boot. So in terms of fit, the Venom will stretch and become unsupportive especially with lateral movements which is weird because the boot is suppose to help your agility.

The second update that needs to be taken into consideration in the development of this boot that I have experienced problems with is how the boot has literally fallen apart within the inside of the boot. The stitching that connects the boots insole/upper has detached and at times the insole has started to move and rotate in the boot on sharp cuts. This is a big problem because with the insole moving it has caused me to get hotspots in the boot which is a big turn off.

Before
Overall, the Hypervenom offers a dream boat ride throughout the first two months but I do not think it has the durability or support to last a whole season. The boot does offer an amazing fit but due to the stretching and the durability I would make sure to keep your receipt when the boots start to defect and slowly die from the inside out. If I was Nike I would fix the upper to be more elastic and keep the new boot fit and feel for longer. My next boot review to look forward to will be the new F50 adizero that will definitely give the Hypervenom a run for its money with the in hand experience that the upper provides. Just Arrived: #Footy-GVenomSquad Tee

In terms of demand and hype the HyperVenom is hands down the hottest boot on the market. You can check out the Footy Guru HyperVenom here. A mix between speed and touch the boot replicates the unique feeling of being barefoot on the pitch. Here at Footy Guru we have had hundreds of submissions for boot nerd photo of the day from all over that feature the tag line #hypervenomsquad. It’s no secret that I and the rest of the market have HyperVenom fever.

In a short time, the HyperVenom has established a massive and unique following with boot nerds. As you know many boot nerds are a very loyal group when it comes to boot choice. You pick your boots based on your personality and your game. So OIJ aka Only In July and I decided to drop a lifestyle piece dedicated to the loyal HyperVenom endorsers on the pitch.

Like it or not but once you leave the field your game/personality still follows you. Not only can you rock your boots on the pitch but with the #Footy-GVenomSquad Tee you can join the squad off the pitch as well. The #Footy-GVenomSquad tee is for the players like the boot that are not afraid to do the unexpected on and off the pitch. The goal of this lifestyle piece was to make a hard underground tee for the HyperVenom fans. From the looks of it thanks to OIJ’s design skills the skull on the front of the tee says it all… “The FootyG x OIJ brand and the Hypervenom are no joke”… You can purchase the #Footy-GVenomSquad Premium Tee by clicking Here boot nerds. Once you get your shirt send us a photo and we will feature you on the blog.

The WELBECK: NIKEiD Hypervenom Shenanigans

For the first time Nike Football is focusing on customization and individuality. As boot nerds we all know that having the same boots as some other person on the pitch is just the worst thing ever. Often times boot companies drop one or two color ways in a new release and within two months the market is flooded and no one wants to pick up the boots/color way everyone else is sporting on the pitch.
So in an effort to promote the latest Hypervenom release Nike are focusing and showing the possibilities of NikeiD by having some of the professional footballers customize their new breed of attack to their specific needs and tastes. Usually Nike does not allow key marketing assets to ID their own boots because well the normal population can not buy them. I am wondering that because the demand for the Hypervenom is so much that Nike is pushing consumers towards ID because they have inventory problems. I heard that they sold out on Nike.com so one can only wonder if Nike really thought the Venom was going to be this big of a hit with FOT's aka Football Obsessed Teens aka boot nerds.

The latest pro player to NikeiD his new breed of attack is Manchester United forward Danny Welbeck. With the red devil in mind Welbeck went with a red and black color scheme which looks super classy and clean.

In addition, checkout the all black outsole Welbeck went with.... The outsole should definitely be a point of difference on a boot. So many companies are focused on the upper but the outsole is definitely a part on the boot that i like to call the engine. The engine makes the boot go and without proper flex the boot lacks fit and feel/comfort and even more performance. At the end of the day, I have always been a fan of two tone boots and in terms of on pitch look they definitely stand out compared to solid color boots.

Big fan of the New Breed of Attack from Nike and if I could I would customize them but I lack the proper funds to do that. Peep the Footy Guru Hypervenom Review below boot nerds. Have worn the boots so much the Nike sign is no longer present on the bottom of the boot. That's what you call ball so hard... Next color way in the boots drops October 1st.

Boot nerd photo of the day

Boot nerd photo of the day features my favorite boot at the moment. In terms of fit and feel the Hypervenom is next level. Coming in at around 7 oz the boot features off center lacing and a unique NikeSkin upper that wraps around your foot like a sock. The outsole that I am most fond of at the moment is the HyperVenom. The chronicle studs are aggressive and both on turf and grass the studs on the heel really help me change direction and offer me a solid engine/foundation to explode and change direction. The Vapor IX outsole is too soft/flexible and I think it lacks support. Plus I feel very flat footed in the Vapor IX. Not to mention the cut of the Vapor IX is narrow which leaves dead spots in the boot for me personally. Would like to thank @ashtondreher for the photo of his boots while he is on his grind. Welcome to Footy Guru @ashtondreher. As always many of you will apply but only a few will be chosen. #footyguru #hypervenom #hypervenomsquad

Boot nerd photo of the day:

Boot nerd photo of the day features one of the hottest boots on the market right now. Coming in at 7oz the boot features a new NikeSkin upper along with off center lacing which gives you one of the best fits in the boot game. The HyperVenom gives you a sock like feeling that at the moment no other boot on the market can provide. To put it simply it feels like you are playing barefoot... Probably will be the boot of the year because in terms of fit, touch and performance there is no boot at the moment that can touch it in my opinion. I have had a blast testing these boots out. Would like to thank @maxsleeth for the photo of his new boots. Welcome to Footy Guru @maxsleeth. As always boot nerds many of you will apply but only a few will be chosen.#footyguru #hypervenom #hypervenomsquad #footyporn #footygurusquad
