Vapor 8 Released! BOOOM

Materials that make up the MV8
With the Vapor 7 lacking in comfort/fit, weight/speed and style it seems as if the Vapor 8 will address all if those issues. It seemed like it was forever since we had a new vapor release which is why I think there is so much hype surrounding the boot.
The Vapor 8 has been redesigned to give speedsters a lighter boot as well as a sock like fit that I like to refer as the lockdown affect. Furthermore, in terms of speed the boots weight has been significantly dropped to 6.5 oz which challenges the Puma V1.11 SL, adizero, and the Pele Trinity. In terms of a point of difference compared to the other boots on the market; the Vapor 8 has a newly designed upper that allows for a very snug fit. When I say snug fit I meant that unlike past vapor releases which had firm unforgiving uppers the Vapor 8 has a sock like upper that is so soft/unique that you can leave your finger print in it. That is why this will be a point of difference in the market and to be honest I think all of the old OG mercurial fans will once again fall in love with the series again. The boot will not be the lightest but it will have a lockdown affect complimented with the newly designed upper that will really intrigue boot nerds out there.

Another thing that is different on the Vapor 8 is the outsole configuration. Myself along with many other Footy nerds have complained that the glass along with the carbon fiber was very stiff and at times unforgiving and at the end of each use your feet usually paid the price. With the vapor 8 Nike has layered the glass and added a new last/minimalist shape to the boot especially on the forefoot which allows the boot to flex more freely especially when you push off or explode.

Overall, because I have personally seen and held the MV8 I must say that I am impressed with the modifications. However, I am wondering what took Nike so long! I thought the Vapor7 would never die. With this release you can tell that Nike really focused on the comfort/fit aspect on the boot and more importantly the lock-down affect. With the change in the upper along with the out-sole modifications you can expect this Vapor release to be more comfortable and form fitting much like the OG vapor of the past.

For an update, the boots will launch world wide March 29th and will have a price point of $220. I will hopefully have these in for testing March 29th and will do an UNBOXING along with a review so you can see what all of the hype is about.

Hot Water Treatment For Your Football Boots...

I have always wondered how some of the Nike professional footy players feel about the stiffness of the superfly along with some of the other elite boots which are very stiff in the Nike range.

But according to this video it seems as if CR7 puts his boots in hot water for a pre-game bath to loosen the boots and to not make them as stiff. In the upcoming weeks, I will try to get my hands on a pair of Vapors and try this theory out via video so you guys can see if there is a difference and if some how you can make the boots a little more comfortable or reduce the break in time for the boots.

Thanks Jeremy!

Take your pick but any of these boots are top class/elite boots.

Blogger note: Jeremy just wanted to say thanks for the leaks along with the support.
Awesome boot collection and I love how it is a mixture of Nike and adidas.

Nike Mercurial Vapor VII TEASER Colorway

If you have not been pleased with the recent release of the Plum or Blue color way in either the SuperFly III or Vapor VII, maybe you should wait until summer when this Volt color way hits soccer stores near you.
What do you think about the recent Nike releases?

Nike Vapor VII

In the past couple of seasons/launches Nike has changed the Mercurial Series by offering unique colors like purple, pink and lime green to grab consumers attention.  However, but in terms of technology/appearance changes the boot has been very meek, and as a consumer I am ready for something new. I believe Nike has all the tools they need to make the next Vapor aka VII the best we have ever seen. For example, if Nike took a moment to look back in time at past Vapors they will find technology and styles that still appeal to Mercurial fans today. Why not take a step back down memory lane and combine a couple different vapors/technologies and form an elite Vapor that brings something new and fresh to the market.

However, i hate to inform you followers but from the looks of it Nike once again changed the color and that is about it. Some bloggers believe that with the Vapor VII, Nike took away the Nike skin/lace cover and brought it back to the straight lacing look i love. Never the less, I have seen two different pictures of the Vapor VII and each one is different.

Which boot/style would you prefer? Do you like the lace cover?
