adidas drops Samba Pack

Adidas today launched the Samba Collection, Brazilian inspired football boots aimed at celebrating the vibrancy and exuberance of the World Cup host nation. For the first time ever, as part of the Samba Collection adidas has released a new boot from each of its four boot ranges, adizero f50, Predator, NitroCharge and 11pro, with an array of new bright, exciting color ways. Each boot has been designed with its own distinct identity and cutting edge technology, inspiring the next generation of footballer.

The Samba Collection launch marks the start of the adidas “All in or Nothing” 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ campaign. The tournament is the world’s largest event and the ultimate platform, where it will be Game On or Game Over for the World’s best teams and federations. The full roster of adidas star players will be involved in the campaign from Leo Messi and Oscar to Dani Alves and Mesut Ozil.

NitroCharge, the energy-retaining football boot designed for the next generation of footballer as worn by Dani Alves and Ezequiel Lavezzi, comes in a new visually striking lime green colourway. As a boot designed for ‘The Engine’, the player who is always running, tackling and relentlessly powering his team, the Samba NitroCharge encourages its wearer to go Full on or be Gone. With its unique and highly elastic ENERGYSLING around the forefoot supporting sidecut and precision turn movements to sharpen reactions on the pitch, and ENERGYPULSE spring technology providing high energy push-offs and long lasting energy return when sprinting, the NitroCharge combines new technologies to innovate the way ‘Engines’ play the beautiful game.

The adizero f50, long sought after by the fastest players such as Leo Messi, Lucas Moura and Gareth Bale, empowers its players to Fly or Die with an electric sky blue color way. The adizero f50 is all about precision engineering with every aspect of the boot design based around making the wearer as fast as possible on the football field.

With features such as SPEEDTRAXION, an all-new, high speed stud alignment for maximum acceleration and pinpoint changes of direction, and SPEEDFOIL, a revolutionary material that combines lightweight, softness and durability for a comfortable, yet locked down heel fit, the Samba adizero f50 is a boot which ensures these world class players will be faster than ever before in Brazil.

The vibrant pink color way of the Samba Predator Lethal Zones favored by the likes of Oscar, Mesut Ozil and Fernando Torres instructs its wearer to Hunt or be Hunted. Designed with five distinctive ‘Lethal Zones’ of technology to deliver outstanding ball control, touch, accuracy and power, the boot is made to master every aspect of performance.

With a luxury deep purple color way, the Samba 11pro worn by Philipp Lahm, Hernanes and Frank Lampard retains the classic attributes that allow players to Make the Play or Make Way. With its premium, ultra-soft and ultra-light Taurus leather providing excellent fit, performance, comfort and ball-feel allied to an all new outsole with comfort frame for better pressure distribution, as well as optimized stud placement for maximum grip and acceleration, the 11pro remains the boot of choice for the complete footballer.

Boot nerd photo of the day

Boot nerd photo of the day features the latest release from Adidas. The Nitrocharge has been over shadowed by the Hypervenom release this summer but in terms of durability and fit it is still a very good boot. The latest red color way is the Champions League edition release and hands down I think it is the best yet. Idk what it is about red boots but I have always been a big fan especially when Adidas drops them. They are classy and definitely offer that point of difference on the pitch. Would like to thank @santiago_lag89 for the photo of his new engines. As always many of you will apply but only a few will be chosen. #footyguru #nitrocharge

Boot nerd photo of the day

Boot nerd photo of the day features the newest silo from Adidas called the Nitrocharge. The nitro features a energy sling band which basically gives you one of the tightest fits in the boot game. Day in and day out the boot provides you with that new boot fit and feel. Many times especially Nike boots stretch and lose their fit and feel but adidas have seemed to solve that problem with this release. In terms of paint job this evergreen paint job is hands down my favorite color-way on the market. Would like to thank @rc11messi for the picture of his new engines. As always boot nerds many of you will apply but only a few will be chosen. #footyguru #nitrocharge

Boot nerd photo of the day features the Nitrocharge. In terms of fit and feel the Nitro is a hybrid and in a way a little beefier F50 adizero. I am a fan because it has a better lockdown affect then the F50 and Predator. Furthermore, It has the weight of a speed boot but is supportive and offers a lockdown fit unlike any boot on the market. The energy sling rather than sling you offers a nice supportive fit and feel. With the sling you get a consistent new boot fit and feel which is really unheard of because after three months of use many boots tend to stretch and lose the form. Would like to thank @aanderson0329 for the photo of his boots. Welcome to Footy Guru @aanderson0329. As always many of you will apply but only a few will be chosen. #footyguru #nitrocharge #footygurusquad #nofilter #footyporn

The Nitrocharge Power Pitch | adidas Football

adidas has scouted a young team of emerging ‘Engine’ players from throughout the world and hosted them in a once in a lifetime, ground-breaking event in Brazil, the home of football and the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Promoting adidas’ recently launched Nitrocharge boot, ‘Power Pitch’ is the first event of its kind – where the players’ actions on the pitch translate into powering the lighting around the arena. Each pass, sprint and tackle had an impact on the lighting to show the raw, relentless energy of each player – thus resulting in a mesmerizing film showcasing the power and energy of ‘The Engine’ players in action.

Each player from throughout the World was identified as the type of footballer the Nitrocharge boots are especially designed for, box-to-box players with relentless energy in the mold of Daniele De Rossi, Ezequiel Lavezzi, Javi Martinez & Dani Alves.

Surprise scouting sessions took place with some of the world’s top football stars including Daniele De Rossi, Patrick Vieira & Jamie Carragher surprising young amateur players from their respective nations. Each ‘Engine Scout’ was briefed to look out for the qualities that best characterize ‘The Engine’ player and selected the winners based on key factors including work rate, pitch coverage and key attacking and defensive actions. The winners were invited to play central roles at the event in Brazil and included youngsters Jerome Martelli-Denton from the UK, Andrea Delianni of Italy, Cyprien Morin of France, Andres Ona Alcocer from Ecuador, Ruben Ramirez of Venezuela and Jae Hoon Lim from South Korea.

A cutting-edge film has been produced from the content captured at the ‘Power Pitch’ event and showcases how the relentless qualities and characteristics of ‘The Engine’ player can be transformed into fast-paced, visual energy. State of the art filming techniques were used with customized rigs developed for GoPro cameras and camera drones capturing HD, multi-angle footage to bring the action to life.

Custom Boots for Dani Alves ?

When a boot drops we expect the players that are the face of the silo to wear the boots. But it seems Brazil international Dani Alves has other ideas on how the new Nitrocharge boot he has been wearing and endorsing should fit and feel.

In fact, upon closer inspection, the Barcelona right-back seems to have been catered to by adidas with a customized incarnation after switching away from his beloved synthetic F50 adiZero boots.
Rather than HybridTouch, which is an upper that replicates the properties of leather without the water absorption and stretch. The right-back seems to have gone for the synthetic SprintSkin material as in his previous ‘speed’ boots (being rather thinner for a close and accurate feel of the ball). I personally hate the current F50 synthetic upper because I think it is non conforming and is outdated. The fit of the boot is perfect but to be honest I think the synthetic upper needs work.

As a boot nerd I am torn because in realty Alves does not wear the true Nitrocharge! Yet Adidas market the boot and he is one if the main faces of this new so called engine silo.

Boot nerd photo of the day features the latest release from Adidas called the Nitrocharge. Boot has a tremendous lockdown affect thanks to the energy sling technology that not only provides support but also propulsion. Never mind the gimmicks because at the end of the day the highlights of this boot are the amazing fit and the comfort it provides. Would like to thank @evanlaws for the picture of his new boots. I would also like to thank @evanlaws for representing Footy Guru. Welcome to Footy Guru homie. As always many of you will apply but only a few will be chosen. #footyguru #nitrocharge #footygurusquad

The Engine

Let the countdown begin! On May 16th Adidas will unveil the latest boot to the market for all the boot nerds to see. It has been a long time coming but it seems as if Adidas is finally going to drop a fourth silo. For years Nike has held an advantage because of the number of boot offerings they have had but it seems that Adidas will soon match them. Adidas and Opta have worked two years together to define a new type of player - The Engine. The Engine according to the boys over at Adidas is a player which runs from box-to-box from the first minute until the final whistle.

Opta and Adidas produced a mathematical algorithm which defines the perfect Engine player.  Javi Martinez (Bayern München), Dani Alves (FC Barcelona), Daniele De Rossi (AS Roma) and Ezequiel Lavezzi (Paris SG) will be faces of the new Nitrocharge boot series because they fit best the profile of 'The Engine'.

The adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 Boot features many new technologies by adidas: The Upper material combines the benefits from leather and synthetic materials and is called Hybridtouch. This boot could be a major point of difference. Since the LZ dropped I have been a big fan of the Hybrid touch upper because of the lockdown affect it provides. In addition, the upper offers stability and elasticity trough a technology called Energysling that ultimately provides premium energy output. The Energy Pulse Outsole offers high energy output and the new Sprintframe stud shape is perfect for the balance between stability and lightweight. It is estimated that the boot will come in at around 8.2 oz with a price tag of $200.

Launch update: Nitocharge Boot will be worn by several players in UEFA Champions League final. The Nitro Charge Boot marks the beginning of the new Adidas Energy Boot line which is the 4th Adidas Boot Range after Speed represented by AdiZero, Control (Adidas Predator LZ) and Heritage (Adidas Adipure).

Although the Nitrocharge Boot has not been released yet here is a list of the most important players who will wear the new Nitrocharge Boot series. Javi Martinez (Bayern München), Sven Bender (Borussia Dortmund), Simon Rolfes (Bayer 04 Leverkusen), Dani Alves (FC Barcelona), Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid), Daniele De Rossi (AS Roma), Antonio Nocerino (Milan), Clément Grenier (Lyon), Ezequiel Lavezzi (Paris SG) and Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal).
