When a boot drops we expect the players that are the face of the silo to wear the boots. But it seems Brazil international Dani Alves has other ideas on how the new Nitrocharge boot he has been wearing and endorsing should fit and feel.
In fact, upon closer inspection, the Barcelona right-back seems to have been catered to by adidas with a customized incarnation after switching away from his beloved synthetic F50 adiZero boots.
Rather than HybridTouch, which is an upper that replicates the properties of leather without the water absorption and stretch. The right-back seems to have gone for the synthetic SprintSkin material as in his previous ‘speed’ boots (being rather thinner for a close and accurate feel of the ball). I personally hate the current F50 synthetic upper because I think it is non conforming and is outdated. The fit of the boot is perfect but to be honest I think the synthetic upper needs work.
As a boot nerd I am torn because in realty Alves does not wear the true Nitrocharge! Yet Adidas market the boot and he is one if the main faces of this new so called engine silo.
