You cannot explain it but somehow the training and the grind pays off to create something brilliant on the pitch. Footy is all about creating chances and capitalizing on your opportunities. So recently Footy Guru has teamed up with and put in work with OIJ aka Only In July to produce a premium lifestyle brand inspired out of our obsession for football boots.  Much like sneaker heads the term 'boot nerds' is slowly spreading throughout the underground boot community like a speedy elastico. Unlike the old days where kids had one pair of boots many consumers today have three to four pairs depending on the day, mood and style. I have always said that boots are like sneakers, you can never have enough and they are an extension of your personality on the pitch. Soccer cleats what I term 'boots' which is the surrounding motif what Footy Guru is all about have slowly turned into a lifestyle. OIJ was established in 2009 by native Hispanic Californian Julio Poncé: Football enthusiast and lifetime player, print, web fashion and product performance designer for 10 years, Godfather fanatic and hot sauce connoisseur. Only in July that stems from the fact that the World Cup happens Only In July every four years. Like Footy Guru, OIJ is a brand fostered on the idea that football is a reflection of life. 

You live it, breathe it and consistently try to master the game in your own individual way and style. Much like your boots are extensions of your personality on the pitch.  OIJ is based on the fact that football involves passion, intensity, challenges and a bond that only other footballers can really understand.
