Boot nerd photo of the day:

Simplicity never looked so good on the pitch... Boot nerd photo of the day features the #Tiempo Legend from @nikefootball. Boot features a kangaroo leather upper and offers tremendous value at any position on the pitch. Would like to thank @fafm for the photo of his boots. To share your boots with fellow boot nerds tag your photos #footyguru. As always many of you will apply but only a select few will make the cut.

Boot nerd photo of the day

Boot nerd photo of the day features another Hi Vis release that features the Nike Tiempo Legend. I am a fan of the Hi Vis collection not only because of the story but more importantly the presence all the boots will have on the pitch. Each boot features a touch of volt to definitely make it a point of difference. Personally I am feeling the #hypervenom and the #tiempo out of this pack. Would like to thank @j_anibaba from the Chicago Fire for the photo of his new boots. Your shirt is on the way homie. As always many of you will apply but only a select few will be chosen. #footyguru

Now Available: Footy Guru Premium Tee

Every once in awhile in the final third you get that combination that ends up with the ball in the back of the net. You cannot explain it but somehow the training and the grind pays off to create something brilliant on the pitch. Footy is all about creating chances and capitalizing on your opportunities. You can not cheat the grind. Your boots and the game of football knows when you do not put in the work. So recently Footy Guru has teamed up with and put in work with OIJ aka Only In July to produce a premium lifestyle brand inspired out of our obsession for football boots. With OIJ design and underground footy inspired appeal armed with the Footy G motto in hand we are set to create something unique and brilliant within the footy community.

Much like sneaker heads the term 'boot nerds' is slowly spreading throughout the underground boot community like a speedy elastico. Unlike the old days where kids had one pair of boots many consumers today have three to four pairs depending on the day, mood and style. I have always said that boots are like sneakers, you can never have enough and they are an extension of your personality on the pitch. Soccer cleats what I term 'boots' which is the surrounding motif what Footy Guru is all about have slowly turned into a lifestyle. With limited releases and certain color ways having a higher market demand over others some boots have become collectible items. Footy Guru is a lifestyle and a brand dedicated to the boot nerds. If you live the lifestyle and are a die-hard boot nerd then the Footy Guru Brand resonates deep within you. Its all about that new boot fit and smell...

About Only In July: Direct Link... (Click Here)

OIJ was established in 2009 by native Hispanic Californian Julio PoncĂ©: Football enthusiast and lifetime player, print, web fashion and product performance designer for 10 years, Godfather fanatic and hot sauce connoisseur. Only in July that stems from the fact that the World Cup happens Only In July every four years. Like Footy Guru, OIJ is a brand fostered on the idea that football is a reflection of life.

You live it, breathe it and consistently try to master the game in your own individual way and style. Much like your boots are extensions of your personality on the pitch.  OIJ is based on the fact that football involves passion, intensity, challenges and a bond that only other footballers can really understand. Each time you step on the field you’re faced with two outcomes: the glory of victory or the agony of defeat which you will see embedded in the collar of the Footy Guru and OIJ Premium Tees.  Through countless footy experiences OIJ found  that “You work as a team feeding off the chemistry of your teammates, yet are still an individual and unique player with your own style and approach to the game.
Only in July is bigger than a brand, it’s a culture.

What started as a small blog back in 2011 has now become a lifestyle and a reality with boot nerds worldwide checking the blog daily for the latest football boot news and reviews. Footy Guru and OIJ have teamed up to kickoff a premium lifestyle brand inspired by the obsession for football boots.

This is the first shirt in the Footy Guru Collection. The shirt is limited in quantities and comes in heather grey and black. Like Footy Guru everything about this shirt is premium from the material all the way down to the logo.

In short, this shirt pays tribute to those boot nerds that live and breathe the lifestyle. It’s more than a hobby it’s a lifestyle, its footy porn that you can feel and wear with pride to support the boot nerd and FootyG movement.  Click Here to purchase the Footy Guru First Touch Premium Tee and join the Footy Guru Squad.

Boot nerd photo of the day: @alexswaggalan10

Boot nerd photo of the day features the citrus MV IX. Love how the color fades on this boot. In terms of the Vapor IX compared to the VIII the IX upper seems to be more elastic and more durable. Big fan of how flexible the outsole is on this boot. Would like to thank @alexswaggalan10 for the photo of his new boots. Welcome to Footy Guru. As always many of you will apply but only a few will be chosen. #footyguru #vaporix #footygurusquad

Boot nerd photo of the day:

Boot nerd photo of the day features one of the most underrated boots on the market right now. The Nike Premier is hands down pure class and offers a new school feel with the OG style and swagger. In terms of heritage it does not get any better then the Premier. Coming in at around 8.6 oz the boot is functional on the pitch unlike most heritage boots that are tipping the scale at 10.5 oz. Leather upper, light weight and simplicity is why I love this boot so much. Better yet, it's only $100 so in terms of overall value you get the most bang for your buck with this boot. Would like to thank @evangarcia10 for the photo of his new boots. Welcome to Footy Guru @evangarcia10. As always boot nerds many of you will apply but only a few will be chosen. #footyguru #NikePremier

Boot Nerd Photo of the day:

Boot nerd photo of the day features the most hyped boot on the market right now which is the Mercurial Vapor IX. Boot is sleek, very low profile and provides a sock like fit. Vapor IX comes in at 6.6 oz and features a golf ball like upper called speed control technology which is suppose to improve your touch on the ball in all kinds of conditions. Yes you can see that the upper is a point of difference but as usual the Vapor IX was dropped in two of the most unique color ways we have seen yet. Pictured above is my favorite color way called the sunset paint job. The boots paint job gradually fades from a bright orange to a gold toe. Magic boots? Only time will tell regarding the new upper and the boots durability. I am excited to get my hands on a pair to review. Would like to thank @gbonnell_97 for the picture of his new boots with the FootyG shout out aka the box tag and the FootyG shirt. Welcome to Footy Guru @gbonnell_97.As always boot nerds, many will apply and only a few will be chosen. #footyguru #vaporix #footyguru #footygurusquad

Boot nerd photo of the day:

Boot nerd photo of the day features the boot and the color way that created a tremendous buzz on the market earlier this year which was the Vapor 8 in the Mango release.

The paint job on this boot was Definitely a point of difference on the market and when it first launched that is all you saw on the pitches world wide. Compared to the Vapor 7 there has been no comparison in terms of comfort, fit and performance. Hands down, the Vapor 8 release exceeded many boot nerds wildest fantasies because the Vapor 7 was just that outdated and lacked evolution. As I like to call it, it was a dead boot because without constant evolution and change consumers like myself get board. Color might be different but nowadays it's all about performance and specs.

Would like to thank @rizzly_bear picture of his new boots. Welcome to Footy Guru @rizzly_bear. As always boot nerds, many will apply and only a few will be chosen.
