The past couple of months consumers have been in a buzz regarding the release and new specs of the soon to be Tiempo IV. Throughout the years the Tiempo has been Nike Football’s flagship boot with its classic sleek design and heritage styling. But in order to keep consumers interested and to please its athletes needs Nike has decided to retool the Tiempo series to fit the modern game. Furthermore, there was some discrepancy regarding if Nike would make an elite Tiempo IV that utilized the carbon fiber outsole along with the implementation of fly wire to the k leather boot. From the looks of it, I believe this will be a special boot due to the makeup of what the boot consists of; for example, fly wire, carbon fiber, k leather. Nike has created ultimately created a hybrid boot made for the modern game and a boot that can specifically be used
by the elite players.
Specs:
The new Nike Legend IV Elite is made of Premium Kangaroo leather, only available in the Tiempo IV Elite. The upper is made from the softest and strongest high performance k-leather available. The same premium leather was first used by Nike in the 10R collection. Now, for the Tiempo Legend IV Elite, further advancements have been made making the leather stronger and softer.
Vamp stitching on the upper is one of the key factors in providing the soft touch and feel the Nike Legend is famous for. The new diagonal stitching in the new Tiempo Legend IV prevents the boot from over stretching while the clean minimal-stitched area at the front of the boot creates a clean surface for great touch.
The carbon fiber sole-plate on the Nike Tiempo Legend IV Elite features a combination of elliptical and bladed studs that are injected on the composite carbon chassis. Nike's famous carbon fibre sole plates have become an integral part of their Elite range and are scientifically proven to give players an edge in the final stages of a game.
