Every so often a boot is created that captures your imagination. The last boot that captured my imagination was the Pele Trinity from Pele Sports. The moment I saw the boot I had one of those deja vu moments... From the first time I saw the Trinity I was fascinated by its unique style and futuristic outsole. At first glance it caught me off guard because it more or less resembles my favorite boot of all time, which is the Nike Mercurial Vapor two.
The Trinity which looks like it was designed/developed on another planet at first glance features an extraordinary outsole configuration that is designed to provide the least amount of resistance to your foots natural motion which in turn increases your speed.
Marketing gimmick? Not so much in my opinion, the boots and the stud configuration are the real deal. I think that with this boot Pele Sports has created a fast, light and dynamic boot that helps improves an athletes reactions/speed which is what many consumers are seeking.
In the big boot picture, Pele Sports should be recognized. The Trinity as a speed boot offers something that no other company has explored with boots and that is how stud configuration relates to improving an athletes force/acceleration on the pitch. After significantly testing out the boot I believe they made me quicker and I definitely noticed a difference in my movement and acceleration. Check out the video review below along with the Footy Guru written review of the Trinity.
The first Trinity release featured a 1.2mm thick microfiber upper which provides a glove like fit and extreme ball feel/touch. After testing this boot, as I mentioned I could not help but notice the similarities of one of my favorite boots of all time which is the Nike Mercurial Vapor II. The Trinity offers a lockdown effect on your foot that rivals the adizero and Vapor. What I mean by lockdown effect is that the boot offers a sock like fit. The upper companied by the shape/last of this boot provides an awesome fit that many elite players have come to crave in a speed boot. Unlike the past speed boots, a speed boot has to be light of course but what is even more important for any boot is the fit of the boot. Light is great but if the fit is not perfect I am moving on to the next option.
Speaking of moving on...it seems Pele Sports has gone one step further with the newest Trinity release. Rather then just change the color of the boot Pele Sports wanted to create an elite boot.
In addition, the boot will come in at 6.3 oz and have a price tag of $230. Boots are now available at soccer.com. Click the images to take the jump. For you FootyG fans. I will hopefully be getting these boots soon from Pele Sports and with a boot like this you can be for sure to expect a video review of the boots.
