Adizero F50 revisited

Adizero F50 revisited:

I have recently received multiple emails regarding the F50’s durability over a long period of time. Rather than the synthetic version, consumers are questioning the leather version. The pictures below are what my F50’s appear like after 35 hours of use. After my first couple of times testing the bootsout on ‘turf’. I instantly noticed that the paint began to peel away from theboots. From a consumers stand point it was very disheartening and I think adidas needs to address the issue.

Maybe you will be able to relate to me, but in my opinion my soccer boots are not just a normal pair of shoes. In my eyes, they are my toolsand a way that I can express myself on the field. They are an investment for my feet and my game. Furthermore, rather than return them I have continued to put as many hours as I can in the boots.

I would like to reiterate that I have only worn these boots on turf and that could be the reason they have peeled. In terms of durability,I think the F50 is first class for the speed boot range. Aside from the paint peeling the boots feel completely new. They have held up well throughout countless games and practices.

F50 vs Vapor:
The F50 offers a lockdown affect that at the moment no otherboot can match. The TPU overlays on the mid-foot hug your foot consistently andduring each use you get the same feel. The lock down affect is complemented by the off center lacing and the extra support which is the TPU overlays. In addition, the sprint frame outsole complemented by the off center lacing provides support. You rarely hear the word support and speed boot in the same sentence.

But the F50 offers both of these qualities; speed and support. Compared to theVapor 8 the F50 feels supportive and like an all around boot that can be worn for various positions. While the Vapor seems like it is built for just pure speed. I have noticed that over time the Vapor 8 upper has began to lose its sock like fit because the upper has began to stretch. With the stretching, I have noticed that the Vapor 8 no longer has that super tight sock-like fit. Another thing that many consumers do not understand is that a big difference on these boots is the lacing system. By simple changing the lacing system on a boot you can drastically improve its fit. The Vapor has the OG straight lacing while theF50 has the off center lacing. When it comes to shooting the F50 has a bigger striking surface while the vapor is slimmer. Furthermore, if I had to strike the ball in either the Vapor or F50. I would prefer the F50 adizero because the lacing system provides more girth and wraps around my foots natural shape.

Overall, I think adidas needs to address the paint peeling on the F50. I am interested to see if other consumers have had similar problems with the boot. Send a picture my way footyguru.fleck@gmail.com or please express your comments below… Aside from the paint job peeling, I am satisfied with the leather F50 adizero and if I am going to play footy they are the first boot I grab.
